Ensemble Inverspace is a collective dedicated to exploring contemporary and experimental music in a spirit of friendship and collaboration. The ensemble's members work closely with composers, thereby facilitating the creative process. From its inception, the ensemble has been keen to explore the creative potential of combining electronic music, new sound technologies and acoustic instruments. This season's programme comprises a single work. Michael Pisaro-Liu's Tombstones (2012) is a minimalist composition that evokes a sense of unease and surprise, immersing the audience in a meditative state for approximately an hour. This composer is also a member of the Wandelweiser group, a collective of composers inspired by the work of John Cage.
