The association Pôle Nord is based in La Chaux-de-Fonds. It brings together several sectors of activities represented by the Nouvel Ensemble Contemporain (NEC), the Concerts de Musique Contemporaine (CMC), and the biennial festival Les Amplitudes, which encompass all aspects of contemporary music from the 20th and 21st centuries.

It remains at the forefront of contemporary musical inquiries.
